Why you’ll love our guitar teacher matching service:

1. Be matched to the right guitar teacher—for free!

We’ll put careful attention on matching you to the guitar teacher who best suits your learning needs.

2. In-home or studio lessons.

Enjoy guitar lessons in your own home with a knowledgeable, patient and understanding guitar teacher. Or, if you prefer, you can learn in the studio of a local guitar teacher, and take full advantage of the learning environment they’ve created. (Please note: due to high demand, in-home lessons may not always be available.)

3. We do the legwork for you.

You don’t need to call any teachers or wait for anyone to return your calls. Just leave your enquiry with us and we’ll let you know when we’ve found the teacher you’re looking for. We can then have them call you in person.

4. Personalised tuition.

Your experienced guitar teacher will create a lesson plan just for you. Use guitar tabs and chords, or learn to read music. Focus on electric or acoustic guitar—or both.

5. No registration fees or hidden fees—ever.

All you pay for are your guitar lessons.

6. No long term contracts or commitments.

Because arranging guitar lessons shouldn’t feel like re-financing a loan!

7. Learn to play the songs that you know and love.

No matter how big that mountain is… your guitar teacher will climb it with you!

8. Get results quickly and easily – and have lots of fun doing it!

9. Learn enough practical music theory to de-mystify the guitar.

But not so much that you feel like you’re doing a PHD in Music Theory (ouch).

10. Master a wide range of styles, genres and approaches.

Become a well-rounded and highly effective guitarist.

11. Train your ear and be able to improvise in any style!

Building confidence and practical knowledge are part of the foundation of our guitar lessons.

12. Play entire songs… not just disjointed parts.

13. Learn the correct techniques from the start.

No books or videos can compete with the undivided attention of a real guitar teacher, in your own personal guitar lessons.

Matching you to a guitar teacher

1. First up, we tend to be a bit choosy about the type of guitar teacher we work with. Call us pernickety (don’t you love that word?) but we really do insist that every guitar teacher we register meets a very high standard.

2. We get to know every guitar teacher in the Stars & Catz network personally. It’s not that hard to do—we’ve found that the guitar teacher is very likable breed! What’s more, it’s essential for us to know each guitar teacher well, so that we understand their particular areas of expertise, their preferred methods of teaching, their own personal motivations, and more.

3. We get to know you, too. Before we think about matching you with a guitar teacher, we take the time to find out exactly what you’re looking for from your guitar lessons. These details act as important guides in helping us choose the guitar teacher who best meets your needs.

4. Beginning your guitar lessons! The first lesson is usually an exciting meeting, where rapport is established between you and your guitar teacher. From here, you should be off to a flying start. We’ll get in touch with you after your lesson to find out how you went. If, for some reason, your first lesson is not satisfactory, we’ll step in to resolve any difficulties and make sure your guitar lessons don’t miss a beat!
