Frankie Knuckles, “The Godfather of House Music,” passed away Monday at 59.
According to NBC Chicago, Knuckles, a DJ and producer who is credited with helping found house music, died in Chicago, his cause of death unknown. A statement is expected to be released Tuesday (April 1).
